Honda Cars India is gearing up to unveil the hybrid version of its best-selling mid-size sedan, City, in the country.

The all-new Honda City Hybrid e:HEV will be the first strong hybrid mass-market car in the Indian market. Based on 5th-generation Honda City.

the new Honda City e:HEV is expected to be similar to its Thai-spec counterpart. It will be offered in two trim levels – V and ZX.

The top-spec ZX variant will hi-tech features, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) with safety features like blind-spot detection.

It will be powered by a 97 hp 1.5-litre petrol engine coupled with a 108 hp electric motor. The combined torque output of this powertrain is 253 Nm.

The new Honda City Hybrid e:HEV is claimed to deliver 26.5 kmpl of mileage. with 126 PS power and 253 Nm torque.

Honda City e:HEV comes with features like Alexa and Google connectivity. It also comes with features to connect with the smart watch.

The car is powered by a 1.5L Atkinson cycle DOHC i-VTEC engine and two E-CVT motors. It is equipped with engine linked clutch for easy driving modes.

It delivers peak performance along with the safety of the Honda Sensing tech working with features like Collision Mitigation Braking System.

It also gets disc brakes on all four wheels, an electric parking brake and an automatic brake hold. All of this is aided by the lane-keep camera. The safety is enhanced by 6-airbags.

The infotainment system gets an 8-inch touchscreen display with 8-speaker sound system and smartphone connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
